Privacy policy
What SiteMon collects, why, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it. Short version: your monitoring data is yours, we do not sell anything to anyone, and the Google connection is read only.
What we hold
- Your account — name, email address, business name, country, and a hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Your sites — the addresses you ask us to monitor, and the result of every check we run: response code, response time, certificate expiry, and the reason for a failure.
- Your reports — the monthly PDF reports and any free site health report generated for a website you entered.
- Billing — plan, status, and invoice records. Card numbers are held by Stripe, our payment processor; they never reach our servers.
- Google Analytics and Search Console figures, if you choose to connect them, for the properties your Google account can already see.
The Google connection, specifically
On Rank and above you can connect your own Google account so your dashboard shows your search and analytics figures. That connection:
- is started by you, on your own click, in Google's own consent screen;
- asks for exactly two read-only permissions — Google Analytics
(
analytics.readonly) and Search Console (webmasters.readonly) — and nothing that can change, publish or delete anything; - never involves us seeing or storing your Google password;
- is stored encrypted, scoped to your account alone, and used only to read the figures we show you and put in your reports;
- can be withdrawn by you at any time from your own dashboard, or from your Google account permissions. When you withdraw it we tell Google immediately and delete the stored connection.
Data read from Google is used only to show you your own reporting. It is not sold, not transferred to anyone else, not used for advertising, and not used to train any model.
Who else sees your data
- Our staff — support and engineering staff can open your account to help you or to fix a fault. Every such access is recorded against the staff member, the account and the time.
- Stripe (payments) and our mail relay (alerts and reports).
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not run advertising trackers on your dashboard.
Where it lives, and for how long
Data is held on our own servers. Check results are kept while your account is open so you can see your own history; reports are kept for the life of the account. A free site health report and the email address that asked for it are kept so we can answer a reply about it. Close your account and ask us to delete it and we will remove your account, sites, check history, reports and any Google connection, keeping only the invoice records tax law requires us to keep.
Your requests
Ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion, and we will act on it. Email support@gul.ph. If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first — and you can complain to the data protection regulator for your location.
Cookies
We set two cookies: one to keep you signed in, one to protect forms against cross-site submission. There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
