Terms of service

Plain terms: we watch the sites you tell us to watch, tell you when they break, report what search engines say about them, and bill you monthly until you stop us.

What you get

The plan you choose, as described on the pricing page: checks at the stated interval, alerts to the email addresses on your account, the reporting your plan includes, and — on Care and above — the stated hours of web work each month. Hours are per month and do not accumulate.

What we ask of you

Billing

Plans are monthly in advance, or annual at ten months for twelve. Payment is by card through Stripe. Change plan or cancel yourself at any time from your billing page: a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and there is no lock-in and no exit fee. Add-ons are billed on the same subscription. One-off work is billed when it is ordered.

What we do not promise

We monitor and report; we do not control Google, Bing, your host or your certificate authority. We do not promise any particular search ranking or position — anyone who does is guessing. We promise to make your site technically eligible to rank, to tell you what to fix, and to tell you promptly when something breaks. Monitoring itself is provided as-is: a missed alert during an outage of our own is not a warranty of your revenue, and our liability is limited to the fees you paid for the period concerned. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.

Your data

Your monitoring data, reports and any connected Google figures are yours. See the privacy policy for what we hold and how to have it deleted. We keep an audit record of any time our staff open your account.

Ending it

You can cancel at any time. We may suspend an account for non-payment, or for using the service to probe a site you do not own, after telling you why.
