SiteMon

HTTP security and SEO headers checker

Security headers and HTML metadata shape how browsers treat your site and how search engines may index it. This checker fetches your home page once and summarises the response headers and the key tags in the document head. You see whether common protections such as Strict-Transport-Security, Content-Security-Policy, X-Content-Type-Options, frame controls, Referrer-Policy, and Permissions-Policy are present, plus title length, meta description, canonical link, robots meta, and H1 count. It also notes whether robots.txt and sitemap.xml respond on the same host. Use it to spot accidental noindex tags or missing sitemaps before they affect rankings.

Questions about this checker

Which security headers are listed?

The tool reports HSTS, Content-Security-Policy, X-Content-Type-Options, X-Frame-Options or Content-Security-Policy frame-ancestors, Referrer-Policy, and Permissions-Policy when present on the HTTP response.

What SEO fields are checked?

From the HTML it reads the title element, meta description, canonical link, robots meta tag, and counts H1 headings. It does not crawl additional pages.

How are robots.txt and sitemap.xml tested?

After the home page fetch, the tool requests /robots.txt and /sitemap.xml on the same host and records whether each returns HTTP 200.

What if a header is missing?

Missing headers are listed as not set. Add them in your web server or application configuration. SiteMon ongoing checks can alert you if a page later stops returning 200 or if certificate and indexing issues appear.
